From Karur to Dubai

Karur is a town in Tamil Nadu where everyone knows everyone. Where the air smells like cotton and loom oil, where ambition is considered a strange thing to have in excess.

Dubai is a city that was built to make you feel small — and somehow, also to make you believe anything is possible.

I have stood in both places. And the distance between them is not measured in kilometres.

What Nobody Tells You About Leaving

They show you the destination photos. The skylines. The certificates. The LinkedIn updates that say "Excited to announce..."

Nobody shows you the 2am moments when you wonder if you made the right call. The loneliness of being in a room full of people who do not know your story. The quiet weight of being the first in your circle to do something that has no roadmap.
